Google's Five Step Plan for Efficient, Sustainable Computing
Google identifies these five steps to efficient computing:
- minimize electricity use of servers
- minimize energy used by facilities
- conserve water (used in HVAC cooling)
- reuse or recycle all electronics when decommissioned
- collaborate with others on improving previous 4 steps in the goals of becoming fully sustainable and carbon neutral
